Manufacturer of the KVAR KEC is KVAR Energy Savings, Inc. in Daytona Beach, Florida. Currently there are ninety-three different combinations of equipment derived from the patented sizing apparatus and methods: 62 three-phase commercial applications and 31 single phase applications. KVAR Energy Savings, Inc. is an environmentally aware company and its products have been tested for all compliances.
The company is currently expanding to the global market, serving Japan, Saudi Arabia, Costa
Rico, Mexico, Europe, and the U.S. Sales volume is expected to exceed $21 million in 2009.
Inventor
Mr. Gregory Taylor started working on the KVAR KEC idea in 1976. During the 1980's, his company vision took shape, and by August of 1995, Taylor was awarded a patent for the “Method and apparatus to determine amount of capacity required to optimize power factor of electricity to unity.” The KVAR Energy Controller (KEC) Unit was officially born.
Gregory Taylor's educational background includes Vol-Tech in Florida and Georgia Institute of Standards and Technology. He is an electrical management consultant and has been performing research and development on electrical conservation products for more than two decades. His visionary efforts will change the way electricity is sold and used in the future throughout the world.
